Job Summary:
The Senior Resident in Anatomy will assist in the teaching, research, and academic development of the department. The role involves providing support to undergraduate and postgraduate education, conducting dissection and practical demonstrations, participating in departmental research projects, and assisting in administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Academic Activities:
- Conduct practical and theoretical classes for MBBS, BDS, and allied health sciences students.
- Supervise dissection sessions and assist in maintaining cadaveric specimens.
- Participate in internal assessments, viva voce, and student evaluations.
- Assist in the development of teaching materials, presentations, and academic resources.
- Mentor and guide junior residents and interns.
Research & Scholarly Activities:
- Participate in departmental and institutional research projects.
- Prepare and present papers at conferences and seminars.
- Assist in writing and publishing scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Help maintain anatomical museum specimens and develop new educational models.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain documentation as per regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., NMC).
- Assist the HOD in academic scheduling, examination planning, and departmental meetings.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies on discipline, safety, and ethics.
Eligibility Criteria:
- MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Postgraduate degree (MD/MS) in Anatomy from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with State Medical Council / NMC.
- Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research experience.
Qualification – MBBS, MS/MD, DNB
