Professor Radiology

Job Summary:

The Professor of Radiology will serve as a leader in education, clinical practice, and research within the Department of Radiology. This role involves mentoring students, residents, and faculty, conducting innovative research, and providing expert clinical services. The professor will play a vital role in advancing the field of radiology and the department’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Mentorship:
  • Deliver advanced lectures, seminars, and workshops to medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Supervise and mentor trainees in clinical practice and research projects.
  • Develop and assess educational programs to enhance the radiology curriculum.
• Clinical Practice:
  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, interpreting studies, and communicating findings to referring clinicians.
  • Lead multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to patient care management.
  • Ensure high standards of clinical practice and patient safety.
• Research:
  • Lead and participate in innovative research projects, focusing on areas such as imaging technology, disease management, and educational methodologies.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
  • Seek external funding and grants to support research initiatives.
• Leadership and Service:
  • Participate in departmental governance and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Engage in community outreach and public education about radiological practices and advancements.
  • Collaborate with other departments and institutions to enhance interdisciplinary research and education.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Medical degree (MBBS + MS/MD ) with completion of a residency in radiology.
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty of radiology is highly desirable.
