Professor Pediatric

Job Summary:

The Professor of Pediatrics will serve as a key leader in education, clinical practice, and research within the Department of Pediatrics. This role involves mentoring faculty and trainees, advancing the field through innovative research, and providing expert clinical care to children with a wide range of health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Mentorship:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatrics.
  • Mentor and supervise residents, fellows, and junior faculty in clinical practice, research, and professional development.
  • Evaluate and enhance the curriculum to maintain high educational standards and foster a collaborative learning environment.
• Clinical Practice:
  • Provide expert clinical care for pediatric patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Lead complex case discussions and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient management.
• Research and Scholarship:
  • Lead innovative research initiatives in pediatrics, focusing on clinical outcomes, child health, and advancements in pediatric care.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
  • Seek external funding and grants to support research activities and initiatives.
• Leadership and Service:
  • Actively participate in departmental governance, contributing to strategic planning and policy development.
  • Engage in community outreach and education initiatives related to child health and safety.
  • Foster collaborations with other departments and institutions to enhance interdisciplinary research and clinical care.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Medical degree (MBBS + MS/MD) with completion of a residency in pediatrics.
  • Fellowship training in a pediatric subspecialty is highly desirable.
