Professor Neurosurgery

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor of Neurosurgery to join our academic medical center. The successful candidate will provide leadership in teaching, research, and clinical care. This role involves mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, conducting innovative research, and performing complex neurosurgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a national or international reputation in neurosurgery, a strong academic track record, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Mentorship:

• Deliver high-quality lectures and seminars to medical students and residents.
• Supervise and mentor residents and fellows in neurosurgical training programs.
• Develop educational materials and contribute to curriculum design.
• Participate in clinical rounds, journal clubs, and continuing education activities.

Research:

• Conduct original and collaborative research in neurosurgery or related neurosciences.
• Publish findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
• Secure research funding through grants and partnerships.
• Present research at national and international conferences.

Clinical Practice:

• Perform advanced neurosurgical procedures with expertise in areas such as neuro-oncology, spine surgery, vascular neurosurgery, or functional neurosurgery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain a high standard of ethical and evidence-based medical practice.

Administrative & Leadership Duties:

• Serve on departmental and institutional committees.
• Contribute to strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior faculty and promote academic development within the department.

Qualifications:

Required:

• MCh, DNB
• Minimum of 7–10 years of academic and clinical experience.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in [Insert Region or Country].
