Job Summary:
The Professor of ENT will serve as a leader in education, clinical practice, and research within the Department of Otolaryngology. This role involves mentoring faculty and trainees, advancing the field through innovative research, and providing expert care to patients with ear, nose, and throat disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Mentorship:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows in otolaryngology.
- Mentor and supervise residents, fellows, and junior faculty in clinical practice and research projects.
- Evaluate and enhance the curriculum to maintain high educational standards and foster a collaborative learning environment.
- Clinical Practice:
- Provide expert diagnostic and therapeutic services for a wide range of ENT conditions, including surgical interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a commitment to patient safety and quality improvement in clinical practice.
- Research and Scholarship:
- Lead and participate in cutting-edge research initiatives in otolaryngology, focusing on clinical outcomes, treatment advancements, and health services research.
- Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Seek external funding and grant opportunities to support research initiatives and projects.
- Leadership and Service:
- Actively participate in departmental governance, contributing to strategic planning and policy development.
- Engage in professional organizations and community outreach to promote awareness and education about ENT health.
- Foster collaborations with other departments and institutions to enhance interdisciplinary research and clinical care.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Medical degree (MBBS + MS/MD) with completion of a residency in otolaryngology.
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty of otolaryngology is highly desirable.
