Professor Emergency Medicine

Job Summary:

The Professor of Emergency Medicine will serve as a leader in education, clinical practice, and research within the Department of Emergency Medicine. This role involves mentoring faculty and trainees, advancing the field through innovative research, and providing expert care in emergency settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Mentorship:
  • Develop and deliver advanced educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows in emergency medicine.
  • Mentor and supervise residents, fellows, and junior faculty in clinical practice, research, and professional development.
  • Evaluate and enhance the curriculum to ensure high educational standards and foster a collaborative learning environment.
• Clinical Practice:
  • Provide expert diagnostic and therapeutic services in emergency medicine for a diverse patient population.
  • Lead clinical teams in the emergency department, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate coordinated patient management and improve clinical outcomes.
• Research and Scholarship:
  • Lead and participate in cutting-edge research initiatives focused on emergency medicine, including clinical outcomes, quality improvement, and innovative practices.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
  • Seek external funding and grant opportunities to support research projects and initiatives.
• Leadership and Service:
  • Actively participate in departmental governance, contributing to strategic planning and policy development.
  • Engage in professional organizations and community outreach to promote emergency medicine education and public health awareness.
  • Foster collaborations with other departments and institutions to enhance interdisciplinary research and clinical care.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Medical degree (MBBS + MS/MD) with completion of a residency in emergency medicine.
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty of emergency medicine is highly desirable.
