Consultant Gynecology with Infertility

Job Summary:

The Consultant in Gynecology with Infertility specialization is responsible for the diagnosis, management, and treatment of female reproductive health issues, with a particular focus on infertility and assisted reproductive technologies (ART). The role combines clinical gynecology practice with fertility consultation and procedures, while also supporting multidisciplinary care, training, and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, and hormonal imbalances.
• Evaluate and treat infertility in women and couples, including ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI), and in vitro fertilization (IVF).
• Perform gynecologic procedures such as hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, endometrial biopsy, and minimally invasive surgery related to infertility.
• Provide counseling and support to patients regarding fertility preservation, reproductive options, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with embryologists, andrologists, endocrinologists, and other fertility specialists as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Lead outpatient fertility and gynecology clinics, and manage follow-up care.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, trainees, and nurses in reproductive medicine and gynecology.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records, including documentation of ART procedures and outcomes.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement programs, and research in reproductive medicine.
• Contribute to patient education initiatives and fertility awareness programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (e.g., MD, DNB, MRCOG, or equivalent).
• Fellowship or specialized training in Reproductive Medicine, Infertility, or ART is essential.
• Valid registration with the relevant national medical council or licensing authority.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of post-specialization experience in gynecology, with significant focus on infertility treatment.
• Hands-on experience in fertility procedures, including IUI, IVF, and ovulation monitoring.
