Associate Professor Pharmacology

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Professor in Pharmacology to join our faculty. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellence in teaching, a strong research background, and proven leadership in academic and administrative responsibilities. The position requires a commitment to fostering academic excellence, mentoring junior faculty and students, and actively contributing to the department’s growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Academic Duties:

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pharmacology and related subjects.
• Develop and revise curriculum, course materials, and laboratory work.
• Supervise doctoral, postgraduate, and undergraduate student research and dissertations.
• Serve as a mentor to junior faculty and teaching staff.

Research:

• Conduct independent, high-quality research in the field of pharmacology or allied areas.
• Publish scholarly articles in reputed, peer-reviewed journals.
• Guide Ph.D. and M.Pharm students in their research activities.
• Secure research grants from government and private funding agencies.

Academic Leadership & Administration:

• Contribute to departmental and institutional governance through committee participation.
• Assist the Head of Department in academic planning, quality assurance, and accreditation processes.
• Take initiative in organizing workshops, conferences, and continuing education programs.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the institution.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• MBBS, MD in Pharmacology or a closely related field.
• At least 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position.
• Proven track record of high-impact publications and research.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and student mentoring.
