• Maintain and expand a significant and independent research program in pharmacology, focusing on innovative and impactful research topics.
• Seek and secure substantial external funding through grants and other sources to support research initiatives.
• Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Collaborate with faculty and researchers on interdisciplinary projects, contributing to departmental and institutional research goals.

Service and Leadership:

• Provide leadership within the department by participating in strategic planning, policy development, and departmental governance.
• Engage in departmental, college, and university committees and service activities, contributing to institutional and academic development.
• Represent the department and institution in professional organizations, academic societies, and public forums, enhancing the department’s visibility and reputation.
• Foster community engagement and outreach activities that promote the department’s research and educational programs.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• MBBS, MS/MD, or equivalent advanced degree in Pharmacology or a closely related field.
