Associate Professor Pediatric

Job Summary:

The Associate Professor of Pediatrics will play a pivotal role in the education, clinical care, and research missions of the Department of Pediatrics. This position involves teaching medical students and residents, providing comprehensive pediatric care, and conducting research to improve child health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Education:
  • Deliver lectures, seminars, and hands-on training to medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatrics.
  • Mentor and supervise residents and medical students during clinical rotations and research projects.
  • Develop and assess educational programs and curricula to enhance training in pediatrics.
• Clinical Practice:
  • Provide high-quality clinical care for children with a wide range of medical conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management and optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in pediatric on-call responsibilities as needed.
• Research:
  • Engage in and lead research initiatives focused on pediatrics, including clinical trials, epidemiological studies, and health services research.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
  • Seek external funding and grants to support research activities and initiatives.
• Service and Leadership:
  • Participate in departmental committees and contribute to strategic planning and program development.
  • Engage in community outreach and education on child health and safety topics.
  • Foster collaborations with other departments and institutions to enhance interdisciplinary research and clinical care.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Medical degree (MBBS + MS/MD) with completion of a residency in pediatrics.
  • Fellowship training in a pediatric subspecialty is preferred.
