Associate Professor OBG

Job Summary:

The Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology will play a crucial role in education, clinical practice, and research within the Department of OBG. This position involves teaching medical students and residents, providing comprehensive care in obstetrics and gynecology, and engaging in research to advance the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Education:
  • Deliver lectures, seminars, and hands-on training to medical students, residents, and fellows in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Mentor and supervise residents and medical students in clinical settings and research projects.
  • Develop and evaluate educational programs and curricula to enhance training in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Clinical Practice:
  • Provide high-quality obstetric and gynecological care, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, and management of gynecological conditions.
  • Perform surgical procedures related to obstetrics and gynecology as required.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient management.
• Research:
  • Engage in and lead research initiatives focused on obstetrics and gynecology, including clinical outcomes, patient safety, and healthcare innovations.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
  • Seek external funding and grants to support research activities and initiatives.
• Service and Leadership:
  • Participate in departmental committees and contribute to strategic planning and program development.
  • Engage in community outreach and education on women’s health topics.
  • Foster collaborations with other departments and institutions to enhance interdisciplinary research and clinical care.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Medical degree (MBBS + MS/MD) with completion of a residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology is preferred.
