Associate Professor OBG

Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology invites applications for a full-time Associate Professor position. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the academic and clinical mission of the department, including teaching, research, and clinical care in obstetrics and gynecology. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced academic clinician to contribute to the growth and development of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching and Mentorship:
   • Provide high-quality education to medical students, residents, and fellows in obstetrics and gynecology.
   • Supervise and mentor junior faculty, residents, and students in both clinical and research settings.
   • Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and other educational content.
2. Clinical Care:
   • Provide patient care in obstetrics and gynecology, including outpatient, inpatient, and surgical services.
   • Lead or participate in specialty clinics (e.g., high-risk pregnancy, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology, etc.).
   • Maintain a high standard of clinical practice and ensure compliance with institutional and departmental policies.
3. Research:
   • Conduct and lead research activities in obstetrics and gynecology, including securing external funding, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at national and international conferences.
   • Collaborate with other faculty members on multidisciplinary research projects.
   • Mentor residents, fellows, and junior faculty in research methodologies and scholarly activities.
4. Service:
   • Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and activities.
   • Contribute to the development of departmental programs and initiatives.
   • Engage in community outreach and public health initiatives related to women’s health.

Qualifications:

• MBBS, MS/MD, DGO, or equivalent degree.
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
