Associate Professor Dermatology

Job Summary:

The Associate Professor of Dermatology will contribute to the education, clinical care, and research efforts within the Department of Dermatology. This role involves teaching medical students and residents, providing expert patient care, and conducting impactful research in dermatological science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Education:
  • Deliver lectures, seminars, and hands-on training in dermatology to medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Mentor residents and fellows in clinical practice and research projects.
  • Develop and assess educational materials and programs to enhance dermatology training.
• Clinical Practice:
  • Provide comprehensive dermatological care, including diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin conditions.
  • Perform dermatologic procedures and surgeries as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Research:
  • Lead and engage in research initiatives focused on dermatological diseases, treatments, and innovations in skin care.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
  • Seek external funding and grant opportunities to support research activities.
• Service and Leadership:
  • Participate in departmental governance, committees, and strategic planning efforts.
  • Engage in community outreach and education regarding skin health and dermatological conditions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to foster interdisciplinary research and clinical initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Medical degree (MBBS + MS/MD) with completion of a residency in dermatology.
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty of dermatology is preferred.
