Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Research:

• Maintain and expand a robust, independent research program in biochemistry, focusing on innovative and impactful research topics.
• Seek and secure substantial external funding through grants and other sources to support research activities.
• Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects and contribute to departmental and institutional research initiatives.

Service and Leadership:

• Provide leadership within the department by participating in strategic planning, policy development, and departmental governance.
• Engage in departmental, college, and university committees, contributing to institutional and academic service.
• Represent the department and institution in professional organizations and academic societies, enhancing the department’s visibility and reputation.
• Contribute to community outreach and public engagement activities that promote the department’s research and educational programs.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• MBBS, MS/MD, or equivalent advanced degree in Biochemistry or a closely related field.
• Established record of research excellence, including a strong portfolio of publications, successful grant funding, and leadership in research initiatives.
