Assistant Professor Anatomy

Position Summary:

Invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor in Anatomy. We seek a dynamic and committed educator to join our medical faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, engaging in academic research, and supporting the department’s academic and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

• Deliver engaging and effective lectures, practical demonstrations, and tutorials in gross anatomy, histology, embryology, and neuroanatomy.
• Prepare teaching materials, lab manuals, and assessment tools.
• Supervise and assess student academic progress and practical competencies.
• Use modern teaching methodologies including digital tools, simulations, and blended learning techniques.
• Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and accreditation processes.

Research:

• Undertake original research in anatomical sciences or interdisciplinary biomedical fields.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at academic conferences.
• Guide and mentor students in research projects, dissertations, and scholarly activities.
• Apply for intramural or extramural research grants (as applicable).

Administrative Duties:

• Contribute to departmental meetings, quality assurance initiatives, and academic audits.
• Assist in the organization of seminars, workshops, CME activities, and academic events.
• Serve on academic and examination committees as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MBBS with M.D. / M.S. in Anatomy from a recognized institution (or equivalent qualification recognized by [Regulatory Authority – e.g., NMC/MCI, GMC, etc.]).
• Eligibility as per the norms of [Relevant Medical Education Authority – e.g., NMC (India), LCME (USA), GMC (UK), etc.].
• Teaching or academic experience at a recognized institution (minimum experience requirements may vary by country).

Qualification – MBBS, MS/MD, M.Sc., PhD
